Current Opportunities
​The Estes Park Education Foundation (EPEF) is seeking enthusiastic, skilled, and passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors in the following key roles:

Allocations Manager

3rd Party Grants Manager
​
By joining the EPEF Board, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing educational initiatives for Estes Park School District R3 and the greater community.
Allocations Director
-
Primary point of contact with teachers, administrators, and staff of the grant funds provided to the Estes Park School District to support educational initiatives aligned with EPEF’s Mission, Vision, and Pillars.

Present grant requests from teachers, administrators, and staff to the EPEF Board and make recommendations regarding approval.

Partner with the Marketing and Communication Committee to promote grant opportunities to target audiences.

Track and update grant requests and subsequent allocations via an established tracking process.

Treasurer

Oversee budgets, financial records, and reporting to ensure fiscal health and compliance. Provide monthly financial updates and reconciliations to the board.

Administer general financial tracking. Handle all incoming deposits, write checks, and manage expense tracking.

Liaise with external tax accountants for tax preparation.

Serve on the Executive Committee, maintain real-time communication with the president, and contribute to the Annual Report and budget.

3rd Party Grants Manager

Identify and oversee external grant opportunities, ensuring applications are written or delegated, follow-up requirements are met and opportunities align with EPEF’s mission.

Assist with grant applications and collaborate with other board members during the application process. This role is not solely responsible for submitting all grant applications—other board members will participate as well.

Lead efforts to secure resources through grants and other fundraising initiatives, coordinating with the Allocations Director and Board.

Maintain a grant tracking system and provide regular updates to fellow board members.
General Board Member Responsibilities

Commit to representing the diverse population of the Estes Park School District and uphold EPEF’s Mission and Vision

Support fundraising efforts and resource development to advance the foundation's goals.

Establish policies and set strategic goals in alignment with EPEF’s Mission and Vision.
-
Attend and actively participate in bi-monthly board meetings.
-
Provide fiscal oversight to ensure responsible use of EPEF resources.
Qualifications
-
Interest in and willingness to support EPEF’s goals and objectives
-
Must be at least 21 years of age
-
Resident of Estes Park School District (EPSD) boundaries
-
Familiarity with Google Workspace is preferred but not required
Commitment
-
Serve a 3-year term as a board director
-
Attend two 2-hour meetings each month
-
Dedicate 1-5+ hours per month to committee responsibilities, with workload varying based on the time of year and proximity to fundraising events
